This page gives a summary of the equipment each player needs to provide and what equipment the league provides. If you have any questions about specific equipment, ask your team's manager. If the cost of equipment is a problem for any player, please notify the league president and we will assist in outfitting the player.
Only Little League-approved bats are permitted to be used in Summerlin South Little League. The requirements for each division are listed below. Little League Baseball® has adopted USA Baseball’s new standard for bat performance for mandated use effective January 1, 2018. This means that, effective January 1, 2018, currently approved Little League bats will no longer be approved for use in Summerlin South Little League. All bats for the Spring 2018 season will have to comply with the new USA Baseball bat standard. Accordingly, parents and players should exercise extreme caution in purchasing new bats, as they will no longer be authorized for use after January 1, 2018.
Current Little League-approved bats can be used through December 31, 2017. New USA-standard bats will not be approved for use during the Fall 2017 season.
