NOTE:
League Age is the age the player is on or before April 30, 2011.
The Tee-Ball Division is a non-competitive true tee-ball
division designed to introduce our youngest players to the basics, fundamentals
and fun of baseball. Players hit off
a tee at all times, and coach pitch is not allowed.
The Rookie Division is a non-competitive coach-pitch/tee
ball division where young players can learn, develop and practice fundamental
skills while receiving maximum enjoyment.
Players do not evaluate to be placed on a team.
There are no team standings or end of season tournament, and scores are
not recorded.
The Minor 1A Division is a machine-pitch division.
Six year olds MUST have played two seasons of Tee-Ball equivalent baseball
to be eligible to play in this division.
Players do not evaluate to be placed on a team.
Team standings and game scores will be kept
and will be used to seed
the teams for the end of season tournament.
Minors AA and AAA (League Ages 8-11)
The Minors AA and AAA divisions are kid pitch divisions.
Eight year olds MUST have played two seasons of Rookie equivalent baseball to
be eligible to play in the AA Division.
All players must attend one of two scheduled evaluations to be eligible
for the draft in these divisions.
Game scores and standings are kept and will be used to seed the teams for the
end of season tournaments.
Majors (League Ages 10-12)
The Majors Division is a competitive division.
New players to this division must attend one of two scheduled evaluations
to be eligible for the draft. Ten
and 11 year olds may evaluate for Majors, but are not guaranteed to be draft on
a Majors team. Game scores and
standings are kept and will be used to seed the teams for the end of season
tournaments. Teams may also be
selected to play in a District 4 Tournament of Champions after the SSLL end of
season tournament.
The Juniors Division is a competitive division and the
first to utilize a 90-foot base path.
All players must attend an evaluation to be eligible to be drafted to a
team. The Juniors Division is
schedule and post season tournament will be run by District 4.
The Seniors Division is a competitive division.
All players must attend an evaluation to be eligible to be drafted to a
team. The Seniors Division is
scheduled by and run at the District level.
